New to banya? Here's how it works

Heat up. Cool off. Rest. Repeat.

A banya is a Russian bathhouse. You heat up in a hot sauna, cool off, then rest — that's one round. Then you go again. No experience needed.

  1. The River Rock sauna's stone stove with its small arched openings.

    Heat up

    A deep, relaxing sweat

Sit in one of our two stone-stove saunas. Water goes into the stove's arched opening and soft steam rolls out. Step out whenever you need a break.

    See the saunas
  2. The round cold plunge pool with steps, under a ring of soft violet light.

    Cool off

    Hot–cold contrast wakes you up

Take a dip in the cold plunge, or step out to the backyard for fresh air and spring water.

    See the backyard
  3. The backyard hot tub at night, glowing, with a fire pit and chairs behind it.

    Rest & refuel

    Unwind, eat, catch up

Relax in the hot tub, by the fire pits or on a lounge chair — or sit down for a bite in our restaurant. We're BYOB: bring your own bottle.

    See food & parties

Then start your next round.

Go at your own pace. Drink plenty of water, take breaks, and step out if you feel dizzy or unwell. If you're pregnant or have a heart condition or other health concern, check with your doctor before using a sauna.

Inside the banya

Saunas, steam & a cold plunge

We have two stone-stove saunas, River Rock and Granite. Each has tiered wooden benches and a big stone stove with small arched openings. You'll also find a steam room, a cold plunge pool and massage.

How the steam works: water goes into the stone stove's arched opening, and a wave of soft steam rolls out over the benches. That's real banya heat.
